Resources for Making the Leap to Bentley CONNECT Edition
If you haven’t made the upgrade to CONNECT Edition now is the time!

V8i support WILL be ending December 2020. It was originally supposed to end at the end of this year, but Bentley has delayed the expiration by a year. Below is the latest time frame from Bentley Systems:

"Expiring Support for V8i SS10 applications, which had been scheduled to begin January 1, 2020, will be deferred for one year to begin on January 1, 2021. Support for V8i SS10 will be discontinued on December 31, 2021.

Expiring Support for V8i application versions (other than V8i SS10), which had been scheduled to end on December 31, 2019, will now be extended until June 30, 2020.

For accounts using older V8i versions who have substantially progressed in their migration to either V8i SS10 or CONNECT Edition by July 1, 2020, an extension of Expiring Support may be granted until December 31, 2020.

We are making these changes to provide accounts using older V8i versions additional time to plan and implement your migration to either V8i SS10 or the CONNECT Edition, and to help you avoid any disruption to your pooled licensing."

But that doesn't mean you should wait. Start now, on making the move to CONNECT Edition. To help you make the transition we’ve compiled a selection of resources we hope you will find useful!
